Good Wednesday morning! We’re half-way through the week and that much closer to finals week and the end of the school year. Where did this semester go? I can’t believe how quickly it has flown by!
In conceptual physics, I had you write a letter to NASA. In this letter, I wanted you to express your feelings over the moon landing. I wanted you to use evidence, from both the FOX show and from the NASA website that we looked at yesterday, to form your opinion on whether or not we landed on the moon. It looks like the overwhelming majority of our class believes that we did land on the moon and that there was no “moon hoax.” You all did a great job investigating the claims made by the FOX show and debunking some of the myths. That makes you all very thorough scientists!!!
In biology, we started off the day by looking at some more pictures of broken bones. Nothing gets your appetite going like compound, closed fractures!! We then played a game of simon says, except simon got a little scientific on us today. He said things like “Simon says touch your humerus to your femur” and “Simon says touch your radius to your clavicle.” This was a fun way to review all the bones in your body! After a short game of Simon Says, we watched a video on the skeletal system and how it works with the muscular system.
And in physics, we did a lab on current in parallel circuits. This will be the last lab of the semester, and we will use tomorrow as a day for make-up labs. Since so many of you have been gone for track, tennis, golf, or district music….you should have plenty to do tomorow!!!
Have a great day! Enjoy your early out and this wonderful weather!
