Thursday, May 1st
Happy May Day!!! Remember when you were younger and May Day was spent filling Dixie cups with M & M’s and Skittles and then delivering them to the homes of your friends?? Those were definitely the days! So, here we are at the beginning of the last few days of school. Enjoy them, especially you seniors, you won’t get them back!
Today in conceptual physics, we continued watching “In the Shadow of the Moon.” We got through the Apollo 11 mission today and will finish up the film tomorrow. Next week, I will give you the rubric for your semester project.
In biology, we started discussing muscles. We started the day by watching a BrainPop on muscles and then went to the computer lab to do a web quest. You went into the laboratories of famous scientists through time and saw how they discovered the intricacies of the human muscles. After you were done with the internet activity, there was a worksheet on muscles that required you to apply what you had just learned on the internet.
And in physics, today was lab make-up day. If you were gone during the time that we did any one of the four labs on electricity, today was the day you could get caught up. All four labs will be due tomorrow. The labs are: Ohm’s Law, Resistors in Series, Resistors in Parallel, and Current in Parallel.
Have a great day!
